SYARIKAT pengeluar aksesori, TuneD memulakan langkah pertamanya dalam bidang automotif menerusi tawaran kit badan bagi tiga model Proton iaitu Saga, Persona dan Preve.

Sebagai permulaan pihak TuneD menawarkan tiga pakej aksesori bermula dengan Standard, Executive dan Premium. Harga pakej tersebut bermula dari RM5, 000.

Mungkin ramai yang akan mempersoalkan tentang harga tersebut. Pihak TuneD memberitahu proses pembangunan aksesori berkenaan dilakukan sendiri oleh kakitangan mereka bermula dari rekaan sehinggalah ke produk terakhir.

TuneD menggunakan teknologi tinggi dalam membangunkan produk tersebut. Ia melibatkan proses imbasan 3D dan binaan Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) gred tinggi. Acuan yang dibina menggunakan sistem komputer.

Justeru itu, titik pemasangan yang asal digunakan kembali dan tapak yang digunakan sama seperti komponen asal. Kesemua tapak skru dan klip asal masih boleh digunakan dan tiada jurang di setiap penjuru.

Pemasangan akan dilakukan oleh kakitangan terlatih TuneD di Cyberjaya dalam tempoh dua minggu. Ini termasuk dengan cat keseluruhan badan kerana kit badan hanya ditawarkan dengan warna merah.

Ciri aerodinamik kit badan berkenaan juga diuji secara digital. Bahkan bahagian kabin turut menerima pembaharuan menerusi kemasan kerusi merah dan hitam lebih bergaya. Untuk makluman, TuneD menggunakan khidmat penasihat pakar automotif daripada bekas presiden Nismo, Yuichi Sanada. Beliau berkhidmat bersama Nissan selama 31 tahun dan sembilan tahun di Nismo. Manakala pakar NVH (noise, vibration and harshness), Osumi Koichi pula telah bekerja bersama Nissan selama 35 tahun.

Buat masa ini syarikat TuneD hanya memberi fokus kepada kereta Proton bagi mengukuhkan jenamanya. Kemudian barulah jenama berkenaan akan beralih ke Perodua dan meluaskan capaian produknya ke kenderaan jenama lain.
